Ontario Securities Commission v Christopher Candusso

In this enforcement case, the OSC alleged that Candusso did not comply with the Tribunal’s earlier order that he not be a director or officer of any company for three years. The OSC says that despite that order, Candusso continued to be a director and officer of one company and became a director and officer of an additional company.

Candusso and the OSC agreed to settle the case. They agreed that Candusso should be banned from being a director and officer of any company for an additional three years and that he must pay an administrative penalty of $7,000.

In this hearing, the Tribunal decided that the proposed settlement was reasonable and in the public interest and approved the settlement agreement.
