Ontario Securities Commission v Taylor Carr

In this enforcement case, the OSC alleged that Carr did not comply with the Tribunal’s earlier order that he not be a director or officer of any company for three years. The OSC says that Carr became a director of two companies despite that order.

Carr and the OSC agreed to settle the case. They agreed that Carr should be banned from being a director and officer of any company for an additional three years and that he must pay an administrative penalty of $4,500.

In this hearing, the Tribunal decided that the proposed settlement was reasonable and in the public interest and approved the settlement agreement.
